FullSizeRenderSpringtime is here, the flowers are blooming, the weather is getting nicer, and Easter is this Sunday. In case you couldn’t tell, so many things are happening at once and I’m a little too excited.IMG_2875

Easter is easily one of my favorite holidays because I always wake up ready to go Easter egg hunting.

Okay, okay, I may not be 8 anymore, but even in my 20s, you can bet that when I’m home for Easter, it’s like I’m a kid on Christmas morning eager to open presents, but this time, I’m eager to hunt for eggs. IMG_2876Yes, I enjoy the challenge of the hunt, but mainly, I’m wanting all of that chocolate! It’s like you feel better when you work hard and earn that chocolate. Anyone else? No? Just me? Hey, chocolate is chocolate. #chocoholic

Since Easter is less than a week away, I decided to get a head start on consuming all of that chocolate, because, why not?! This week’s treat of the week is yet another pretzel and chocolate combo – pretzel bunnies and pretzel chicks! IMG_2879These bite-sized treats are all over the internet if you search them, and you can make them in various ways using colored icing, sunflower seeds, starbursts, etc. But since we’re sticking with the PLB notion of “keeping it simple,” we’ll be using chocolate melts (various colors), mini chocolate chips, and mini pretzel twists. Just chocolates and pretzels…super easy, right?

Check out the video to see how to make pretzel bunnies and pretzel chicks!
