IMG_5254Let’s travel back to the early 2000s, shall we?

IMG_5219 IMG_5226Remember when the overprotective clownfish Marlin searched for his abducted son Nemo and along his journey, became friends with Dory, the most kind-hearted fish who struggles with short-term memory loss? From the moment Dory made her mark on screen, the world fell in love with her and finally, Dory’s making a name for herself in the new movie Finding Dory! Gosh, it only took 13 years!

Since Dory can be a bit forgetful at times, she takes Nemo and Marlin on a journey to reunite with her parents. What a cruel trick it would be for Disney-Pixar to play on us if it turns out Dory’s parents are dead (because that seems to be how most Disney movies turn out, i.e. Frozen, Bambi, Lion King, and even Nemo’s mother). But nope, let’s not go down that path. Instead, let’s think the happiest things… it’s the same as having wings! #NAMETHATDISNEYMOVIE

Words can’t describe how much I’m looking forward to seeing this movie. So in honor of Finding Dory, this week’s PLB treat is dedicated to Dory herself! Watch the video below to see how to make Dory Oreo pops!

Oreo pops are so stinkin’ easy to make and extremely delicious. Double Stuf Oreos are already my favorite Oreo cookie, but when that cookie is dipped in chocolate AND decorated it to look like a super cute Disney character, LIFE IS GOOD. In fact, life is great! Because simply looking at these Dory Oreo pops puts the biggest smile on my face! And I hope they put the biggest smile on your face as well!

If you haven’t already, be sure to follow Pretty Little Bakers on TwitterFacebook, and Instagram! And if you make these Dory Oreo pops, send them to me so I can repost/retweet your pics! I love seeing your creations, especially if we’re working with cute little Disney characters!

If there’s any other dessert you’d like to see featured on PLB, let me know in the comment section below!
