Oh my gosh Halloween is right around the corner!! It’s the one night of the year where you can be anything you want and there will be no judgment! In fact, in my world, the crazier your costume, the cooler you are!!! I love when people go absolutely nuts with their costumes. My all-time fave costume of mine was a bag of Jelly Beans… I stuffed myself with mini balloons inside a large clear trash bag with the super awesome spinning Jelly Belly hat. So it may have been difficult to walk in but, man, #RIP to all of those balloons that fell out of my bag as I walked from house to house.

But after a certain age, trick-or-treating isn’t acceptable anymore (I don’t understand why… I would for sure be going trick-or-treating every Halloween if people didn’t judge me). I’m all about that candy life… especially Reese’s (#amiright). But nowadays, I have to find other ways to indulge in my joy of candy.

And that’s where the homemade desserts come into play.

I’m always a fan of bringing my own desserts to the party. This year, you can bet your booty I’m bringing these not-so-scary fellas to my boyfriend’s Halloween party! Although BYOB is a thing, I’m a bigger fan of some BYOD (bring your own desserts, holla).

As a result, we’re here to bring you a recipe for hairy monster haystack candies!

Not only do these monsters look cute and appetizing, but they are so stinkin’ easy to make. Ten minutes is all you’ll need to make these Halloween candy creatures!

These little guys only require five ingredients and those ingredients may come as a surprise. 1. Butterscotch chips. 2. Chow mein noodles. 3. Peanut butter. 4. Colored chocolate melts. 5. Candied googly eyes.

Friends, grab your baking utensils and your five ingredients and let’s get baking!
