Chocolate Chip Cookie Brittle

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

EQUIPMENT:

  • Large bowl
  • Wooden spoon
  • Baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix butter, vanilla and salt in large bowl. Add sugar and mix. Slowly add flour. Add chocolate chips.
  3. Press mixture evenly on a baking sheet (with high sides, or use a jelly roll pan).
  4. Bake for 25 minutes. Start checking around the 20 minute mark.
  5. Allow brittle to cool thoroughly in the pan.
  6. Remove from pan and break into pieces.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
