Chocolate Chip Cookie Brittle
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
EQUIPMENT:
- Large bowl
- Wooden spoon
- Baking sheet
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix butter, vanilla and salt in large bowl. Add sugar and mix. Slowly add flour. Add chocolate chips.
- Press mixture evenly on a baking sheet (with high sides, or use a jelly roll pan).
- Bake for 25 minutes. Start checking around the 20 minute mark.
- Allow brittle to cool thoroughly in the pan.
- Remove from pan and break into pieces.
- Store in an airtight container.
